So day 2 started with an early morning just by our accommodation, the Fox and Hounds Inn where I captured both a time lapse and landscapes as the sun rose above the hills and local lake complete with small jetty. Following a simple breakfast, we headed back to Port Arthur to begin exploring the ruins and restored buildings (both as appealing as the other). Before the clouds began to move overhead and with rain starting to fall, we captured many great images including some very vibrant toadstools shown to us by one of the site staff.
From here we started the drive north via Tasman Arch, Devils Kitchen and Eaglehawk Neck before embarking on a nice forest drive to Sorell to rejoin the Tasman Highway to the Tessellated Pavement. The rain seemed to follow us most of the way north towards Swansea and our accommodation at Schouten House B&B, and even managed to interrupt sunset after just a few photos and the start of a time lapse.
Dinner was beautiful and very filling at a local restaurant called Saltshaker, I had a delicious pork belly and Fran a scallop pie, also just as good. Finishing the night by the drawing room fire chatting with a retired couple was a nice way to end the day.
Til tomorrow, enjoy every moment!
